Girls - 1/30/12 - Congratulations to Courtney Sandlin and Kara Taulbee of Walton Verona for being named NCKC Players of the Week.
Courtney was named MVP of the All A Classic State Tournament. Kara set a new tournament record for 3s in a tournament with 15. The Walton-Verona team tied a state tournament record with 32 3's in a tournament.
Congratulations to Coach Clinkenbeard and the girls for winning the All A State Basketball Title. You represented the 8th Region Class A and our conference well.
Boys - 1/30/12 - Congrats to Carroll County's Dallas Gibson for winning the award. He averaged 20 points and 13 rebounds in 2 games last week.
Also, congratulations to the Owen County boys for their good showing in the tournament.
